This waterfall is a new tourist destination in the area of Bangli that gives a waterfall that differs from the others in its beauty and uniqueness. It is located in the middle of a high cliff, with very clear water, which seems to coincide slightly in the cliff area.
Tukad Cepung Waterfall (often called Cepung by Balinese people) is one of the most photogenic of all waterfalls in Bali. Tukad means river in the Balinese language, and Cepung means flow, so ‘Tukad Cepung Waterfall’ means the flow of the Cepung River.
Tukad Cepung Waterfall has attracted everyone who has found it. Well maintained by cliffs, this waterfall is hard to find for first time visitors. A few hundred steps down the cliff are worth the effort once you arrive at your destination. Circular cliffs give you the feeling of being in a cave, while the sky opens directly from where the waterfall appears, giving you the most enchanting scenery.
Sunlight falls on a sparkling waterfall creating a rainbow, which feels as if it is projected to you. If you have never seen water flowing from the sky, then this will be your chance. Unlike other waterfalls in Bali, Tukad Cepung Waterfall does not flow into rivers, streams or forests, but flows gently to the cliffs.
The river can be seen from above, while the waterfall can only be seen after you walk down the stairs and to the cliffs.
How to visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall?
You can reach Tukad Cepung Waterfall easily from anywhere in the south, west, north and center of Bali and enjoy a trip there that is almost as beautiful as the waterfall itself.
However, if you are from Ubud, you do not need to drive more than 50 minutes by car or motorcycle. And 1.5 to 2 hours drive from south Bali in both the Kuta, Legian and Seminyak areas. Tukad Cepung Waterfall can be reached by any vehicle, but there is no public transportation to get there.
Other opportunities to go there by taxi or rent a car with a driver are more expensive but still quite cheap. Once you are there and pay a small fee at the entrance, you need to climb around 30-40 minutes to reach the hidden waterfall. From the parking lot, you have to walk down the stairs to reach the river.
This waterfall is right behind the cave, so you can’t see the waterfall when you arrive at the river. You have to walk through a narrow cave to enter, and when you enter the cave you will see a waterfall behind a large wall that looks like a cave.

Tukad Cepung Waterfall is situated in Dusun Penida Kelod, Tembuku, Bangli Regency, in the eastern part of Bali. About 1 hour 15 minutes from Candidasa or 1 hour 26 minutes from Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport. Tukad Cepung Waterfall is near the Temple of Death, Pura Dalem Penida Kelod.

What is Best Time to Visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall?
As water accumulates inside the cliff, during the rainy season it becomes very deep. Therefore, during the rainy season, it is not recommended to visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall.
But during other seasons, you can stand up and watch the water flow neatly down and make a narrow flow inside the cliff. This place is relatively cool and offers an exceptional sense of tranquility and peace. In the afternoon when the sun is right above the cave, the best time to visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall.

After arriving at the entrance, you walk like hundreds of stairs to a small river. After wading (deep ankles) through and into the cave you arrive at the amazing first opening.
You will find some visitors standing under the waterfall and having fun splashing water. Because this place is well maintained, you will see a clean and hygienic area around it. The Panoramic View from MahaGiri Restaurant
We will drive eastwards, after visiting Cepung Waterfall and stop at the Mahagiri Restaurant, a stop place for lunch with a stretch of rice fields planted with rice looks so beautiful from a distance. Tirta Gangga Royal Pool
Tirta Gangga tourist attraction, was once a royal water park in Karangasem in eastern Bali. At present the Tirta Gangga Karangasem park serves as a tourist place in eastern Bali. There are three main things in the Taman Tirta Gangga Karangasem, gardens, water ponds and statues. Springs in the Tirta Gangga park by local people are considered holy water. Used in religious ceremonies in the area around the Tirta Gangga park.
Mata Air Rejasa has a very large amount of water, clear and soothing. One third of the supply of the Rejasa spring is sent to homes in the city of Amlapura (the capital city of Karangasem) and two thirds is used to fill the pond and the output from pond water is directly used for agriculture.
History of Tirta Gangga Karangasem:
The name of the tourist attraction Tirta Gangga, comes from the word Tirta which means holy water and Ganga which means the name of the river in India. Tirtagangga Karangasem water park, was built in 1946 by the king of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem Agung.
The Tirta Gangga Karangasem garden complex was previously destroyed by the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963. The Karangasem district government rebuilt this park and was intended for tourist areas.
Gate of Heaven: Lempuyang Madya Temple
Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang is a Hindu temple in Karangasem, Bali, on the slopes of Mount Lempuyang. The temple is considered one of the most respected temples in Bali, Mount Lempuyang, part of the temple complex.
The temples of Mount Lempuyang Bali, represented at the top of Mount Lempuyang by the highest temple. This temple is one of the six most sacred places of worship in Bali, Sad Kahyangan Jagad, or “six world sanctuaries.”
They are important points on the island and are intended to provide Bali with a spiritual balance, according to Balinese beliefs. The Gunung Lempuyang temple group is also one of the Padma Bhuwana Pura Kahyangan temple groups in Bali.
In this temple, a gate with a height of four meters with Mount Agung as background is the most interesting thing for tourists. The focus is to take photos in various poses, and then share on Instagram. This is why it is known as the Lempuyang Gate of Heaven.
